Bait and Switch

I would not recommend hiring Quality Services Moving for your move. Per pictures attached, they caused major damages to my refrigerators (in great condition prior to the move), dresser, base of the Panasonic television stand, and the wall of my new house. These furniture and appliance damages were discovered and pictures were taken when they moved them out of my old house into their storage(2 part process which we had to pay for daily storage fee). I filled out their Claim Form (did everything by the book) and submitted them but they were ignored by the Company. Attempted numerous times to get it processed and assessed by calling and emailing but it was ignored. Reported this to Better Business Bureau but they also ignored BBB to get in touch with us as well. It was quite easy to schedule the move but they will not take responsibilities for the damages they caused as this Company is a bait and switch. They also required you to pay ON THE SPOT before they leave. When the damages were pointed it out to them, they said, "don't worry, you can submit the claim form and they will take care of it." You are better off paying slightly more for other reputable companies that stand by their service/word. I recommend reading other reviews on Better Business Bureau about them. I work for the DoD and we champion 8A businesses. It is a shame that this Vet Owned business is so dishonest.

Total Experience with Quality.

Of the 5 companies interviewed, Jacob and Quality Services Moving provided the most detailed and comprehensive quote and information about the move process. The moving team at pick-up was professional, focused, answered all our questions attentively and loaded everything in a shorter period of time than scheduled. Communication about delivery occurred almost daily from the Quality logistics professional and the driver/Daniel who completed the delivery. Daniel was kind, professional and answered all questions with such a positive caring demeanor - even though we were the last of 3 deliveries that day. This company provides real customer service/support with integrity. They delivered exactly what they promised to us at pick-up and destination. Highly recommend Quality Services Moving for interstate move. Highly recommend Jacob for his ability to explain the process and his commitment to deliver what he promises! .

Quality Services Moving.

We used Quality Services Moving located in Lorton, VA, for our move from Ashburn VA, to Lakeland, FL. The bid that we were given on 5/17/19 was an estimated $14801.84 for an estimated 24832 lbs.. Subsequent to the bid, we sold a 3 piece BAR-B-Q set, and a 3 piece sectional. We added a pool table. When our items arrived on the first truck on June , we were billed $15323.76, which we thought was the total cost of the move. [the additional charges were for the pool table break down and packing two chandeliers].
When the 2nd truck arrived on June 8th, 2019, we were told that there was an additional charge of $10423.57 because our total weight was 43780 lbs., not the estimate of 24832 lbs..
We had 3 other bids for our move and all came in with a weight of 23-24,500 lbs. We had done a move to Maryland a few years earlier, and our weight was 31000 lbs. We had sold or donated a number of items [entertainment center, bedroom set, hot tub, 3 couches, two chairs, etc] so we had every reason to believe that the weight estimates were correct. [it should be noted that the estimator from QSM came to our home three times, including 12 days before the move and confirmed the estimates].
When our furniture arrive, we were appalled at the condition of our furniture and how it had been stored: Our Sleep Number bed was ROLLED up in clear plastic; a MBR mirror was partially wrapped in a blanket and the tip was stuck thru the bottom of one of our box springs; a 42 TV was blanket wrapped and had a cracked screen; the headboard from our MBR set was broken; one of the posters for the MBR bed was broken at the bottom, the canopy for the MBR bed was broken [1" metal] and they lost one of the finials and the finial base. [It should be noted that the MBR set was in their storage and still suffered severe damage]. They also damaged more than 20 other items, including expensive mirrored chests and artwork. A pole lamp was snapped in half. Two chandeliers arrived with half of the crystals lying at the bottom of the cardboard "crate" that they had constructed for the transport.
Overall, QSM failed to provide a quality moving experience.
E-mail correspondence from Ed Graves, the owner, has been snarky and he has shown no willingness to accept responsibility for his company's actions.
I have email correspondence to support the fact that I have tried to work this out with QSM as well as the pictures of the truck supporting my claim of poor service.

Amazing Experience.

Jose Martinez and his team were absolutely spectacular.  They were professional, took great care with all our items and responsive to all of our requests.  However, two particular incidents stand out for me the demonstrate how good the team is.     We had asked to have our storage unit moved out in addition to our main home.  I oriented Jose to the storage unit and then returned home to do a little more work.  Within 15 minutes of returning home, I got a call from Jose saying that the elevator to the storage unit was not working properly.  He did not want to waste more time than necessary, so he proposed that they leave for the day and return first thing the next morning when the elevator was working properly.  I was so impressed with his problem solving and his desire not to waste time (and my money).   The second incident occurred the next morning when they were bringing the trucks to our house.  One of the trucks was getting stuck on a branch that overhung the driveway.  One of the guys got out of the truck and catapulted himself on top of the truck so they could get by without damaging the limb.  At the same time, an impatient driver got out of his car and was yelling at Jose for blocking the road (even though they blocked the road for less than 5 minutes and the driver could have back up and taken an alternate route).  Jose handled him very calmly and did not engage with him at all.  He just went back to doing his job, ignoring the man as he yelled.   These may seem like small things, but I thought these were really indicative of just the level of professionalism the team embodies.  They not only did the basics of the job extremely competently (I haven’t found a single thing broken or damaged), but they also handled out of the ordinary situations extremely adeptly.  I’m usually very cost conscious and I make sure I get every dollar’s worth when I purchase services.  The team did such a great job and made a stressful process so smooth, I was happy to pay every penny of the fees!

Best movers you'll ever use!

I've been wary of professional moving companies ever since I had a terrible experience years ago. Then I met Craig Little from Quality Services Moving. Craig listens to all of your concerns, and makes sure his whole team stays in communication the entire time. They moved my entire office from one part of DC to another (including an 800 pound front desk!) and several valuable art pieces, all without a scratch! Several months later, a patient of mine with multiple chemical sensitivities needed a couch removed from her home. She was concerned because any exposure to detergent, scented deodorant, cologne, or fragrance leaves her incredibly ill. Once again, Quality Services Moving to the rescue! Craig Little outfitted his crew (Thomas Vo and Jason Lovett) with unscented detergent, fragrance-free shampoo, and Tyvek suits so my patient wouldn't get sick. I cannot believe how accommodating they are, while also providing exceptional service. If you go with Quality Services Moving, it will absolutely be the best part of your move.

Quality Services Moving Lorton, VA.

I used Quality for 1 local move and 1 move to Philadelphia. The two men arrived on time (actually early), were fast, efficient, courteous and got the job done quickly. They call ahead to let you know their approximate arrival time. The front office was very responsive to any emails I sent. A couple of glitches occurred, but were dealt with quickly and satisfactorily.  I would use their services again should the need arise. It's a huge plus that they hire current and former military people.

Excellent Service- Highly Professional.

My husband and I have collectively moved over 20 times in our lifetime. Moving is exhasuting and chaotic and it truly matters what company you bring into your home.
A close family friend recommended Quality Services Moving. We had never heard of them so we called for a quote. Hands down they offered the best pricing so we chose to work with them.
From the moment Daniel and Alec from Quality Services Moving arrived, I felt calmer. My husband travels a great deal so the moving was all on me. These guys were outstanding. They were incredibly helpful and courteous and both gentlemen had a "can do" attitude. I would most definitely recommend Quality Services Moving to friends and family. You will hear back from us in 3 years when we return to Arlington!

Moving Excellence.

I can't speak more positively about Quality Services Moving Company. This was my second family move with QSM. From the initial discussions with Jacob focused on the factors that made my move unique, to the accurate cost estimate, to friendly and efficient office staff, to an expert pack crew, to Jose Matinez' masterful leadership on move day and an expert crew that handled our load and delivery with care and efficiency - every aspect of the job was executed with perfection. Thank you QSM for moving my family as if we were your family.

Our move was seamless thanks to the detail oriented team at Quality. Everyone from the packers to the movers - a team of 6, were fast and efficient and extremely careful.

We were in and out of our old space in about 2 hours and everything was off loaded into our new space just as quickly. I was very impressed with how organized they were and how well they worked as a team. I would definitely recommend them to anyone with great confidence.

Missouri move.

I dreaded the prospect of moving from Northern Virginia to Missouri, but the staff at Quality Services Movers ensured that this was the least stressful part of the process.  Craig Little personally brought packing boxes a couple of days before the move, going out of his way in the evening to deliver them. He was helpful and patient when explaining more than once each aspect of the contract.  All my questions were answered promptly and courteously by Craig and the staff at Quality Services.  The load arrived a day late because the roads were closed in Indiana due to a severe snow storm, but the driver Charles Johnson kept me informed of the progress and was waiting for me at the storage space as promised the next day.  Not only was he delightful, extremely careful and concerned, but he was a master at managing the truck.  I am extremely pleased of having chosen this company and will certainly use them in the future.

Excellent Service.

From the initial sales presentation and discussion to delivery. The QSM team kept me informed as to what to expect and when to expect the services they provided from packing out to final delivery. Additionally, I visited their facility and was impressed with the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse where my personal items were stored until I closed on my new home. Bottom line: they did what they said that they would do!

Avoid At All Costs!

I am a former employee of this company, and I recently quit due to the lack of morals and standards this company has, as well as the last few months of pay I've been shorted by hundreds of dollars on each check and they refused to pay. I was niave and gave this company the benefit of doubt because I liked the people and enjoyed the labor and thought they would make it right like the owners brother, Andy said he would do. I Am NOT a disgruntled employee looking to slander this company, because I quit on my own free will. What I am about to tell you is the truth and have proof of conversations and pictures and videos of improper work procedures of an unprofessional company, as well as proof of a dishonest thieving company that works scams to turn a profit. I got hired on back in October as a Local CDL Class A truck driver. Everything was great for the first month. After the end of October I started seeing the companies true colors. For example, their whole customer service and response to the general public whether the customer being military or a civilian, they acted in a professional manner as if they cared etc etc to the customers face. But once they hung the phone up or they left the customers house they unprofesionally cursed and slandered and smeered the customers name, and me being a CDL Driver and field supervisor I had access to the Local operations and claims department as well as access to other areas of the office where regular employees were not allowed so I experienced these things first hand. They have illegals working for the company that are not secured with a drug test or a background check like they should be. There have been many accounts where these crew members have stolen on job sites, and employees have witnessed it including myself and would report it and nothing has ever been done. They act like they care and instead of getting rid of the problem they tell the customer they were at fault for leaving their valuables out. Word of advice, they tell you that you have 75 days to make a claim and they "will gladly" reimburse you for damaged products that the company breaks, but gods honest truth they sit down everyday and try to think of ways to avoid paying out claims even if that means your stuff "accidently comes up missing" or "lost paperwork" so they can say they have no paperwork on file for your claim. Please please please this coming from a dedicated morally motivated worker DO NOT trust your valuables with this company, let alone your personal belongings. These guys are very unprofessional and you should hear the way they talk in the office and laugh at other peoples (customers) demise. I quit yesterday to go back to my old company that hired me back on. Don't get me wrong, there are some awesome guys that work tgere that's outside of management that work each and every residence as I did, but only a handful of guys are extremely dedicated and honest hard workers out of 50-60 movers. Management themselves are just as bad by allowing the theft, and careless acts of destruction to customers belongings happen. All I can do is post my sincere witnessed account here for your review to help better your decision to ensure proper transport and placement of your belongings. If you don't believe me, that is fine. Experience it first hand then come back to yelp and place your review that will later confirm mine. Hope you guys have a pleasurable experience if you do decide to use this company, but rest assured outside of my review, google and yelp reviews from previous customers tell all. Heed their warning and advice. Most of the good comments you see are family and friends of the owner and his brother. They even admitted to it due to their poor reviews on yelp and google and tried boosting it. Some are legit because the bery few movers that are actually dedicated and honest is what's holding this company on by a thread. Good luck and God Bless you on your future endeavors.

Beware.

As a broker/owner of a real estate company, I was approached by a representative of this company to market their services to our clients. I always like to experience customer service first before recommending a company to my clients so I gave them the opportunity to assist with a local move that I was making. I wish I had read all of the negative posts about this company before I provided them this opportunity as I have experienced first hand all of their efforts to not take responsibility for a large screen TV damaged by their crew. It is telling when even employees of the company are writing bad reviews to warn people. Needless to say, this company will not be recommended to our clients and I will be sharing my experience with all brokers in the region as well.

Mislead moving weight.

Poor customer service, company executives do not attend emails, calls. Our experience regarding costs was the worst. Quality Service Moving estimate is set low so they can "compete” with others competitors. Final cost left us very confused when they told us the move weight was 14000 pounds.
Same move, made by MyFlowers Co two years ago has 10700 pounds weight, this time we had 50 boxes less and far less household goods. We tried to get explanation about this. Indeed we asked to be present at the weight time, they did not return calls. We knew about the weight when move was on his way. We think we we were misled in this issue.
We do not recommend QSM.

Quality Services Moving & Delivery.

My husband and I relocated to Pennsylvania from Virginia. We used Quality Services Moving & Delivery and were extremely pleased with our experience. Our interactions with the company from start to finish were pleasant and professional. This company was started by a veteran of our armed forces and he hires fellow vets. Their work ethic was second to none. The professionals who came to the house to pack and load us were personable and concerned that the moving process was as stress free as possible. We will definitely recommend Quality Services Moving & Delivery to anyone in need of moving services.

Shady movers with poor customer service.

When I first contracted with this company, there were not as many negative reviews so apparently there has been a change in leadership and the company is going downhill fast. Aside from our initial move to storage (great team packed us up), we have encountered the most unprofessional people I have ever had to deal with. You should not use this company unless you want to experience sexual harassment, racism and have to fight for your money when they lose your stuff. For me, it’s not always how good the service is, it’s how the company makes things right and Quality Services Moving has failed miserably in this department. Our emails get ignored now.
Our household goods were initially crated since they were to be put in storage for a time however when they arrived they had been uncrated and repacked into a bigger truck. This raised all kinds of red flags since I have been moved several times and my HHG have always remained in the crate until the destination. When they finished unpacking, we had 7 boxes missing and indicated as such on the inventory sheets. After going through our items, we confirmed the missing items and filed a claim since we paid for Full (Replacement) Value protection. As of today, we have received only about 10% of our claim mainly because QSM insists that they have the right to change the protection that I paid for to the base valuation because these boxes were packed by owner. They also refuse to refund for TV kits that were paid for but not used (which also resulted in a broken TV that they are refusing to pay an adequate replacement cost).
Before we filed the claim, my in-laws also used QSM to move in with us. The driver talked them out of paying for the Full (Replacement) Value protection because he was good and nothing was going to be damaged. While QSM personnel were packing my in-laws items, they broke some irreplaceable items that belonged to their grandparents. They also just threw things in boxes (simply dumped kitchen utensils in boxes) and packed very haphazardly. Since they did not pay for the Full (Replacement) Value Protection, they have not filed a claim because they have seen what we have had to deal with and decided it’s just not worth the fight.
When my in-laws HHG arrived, the truck beat them so we had to deal with the same driver. My wife suffered through sexual harassment from the driver (what can you do when they have your stuff?) as well as the racist remarks about the helpers that he hired. We simply could not wait to get them out of our house.

Quality Services Moving - Bad Quality!!

I will inform you how the June 2018 move went with the understanding that we were EXTREMELY dissatisfied with Quality Services and believe Quality Services should be reviewed before used in military moves. We believe we had our move information submitted in plenty of time to have had senior employees serve us. We also believe Quality Services dropped the ball, did not have us on their paperwork, thus, gave us the newbies as well as the crappy leaky trucks. No one could give us a date as to when our items would be delivered. Even the quality assurance person who came out stated he would find out and inform us later that day as to when our items would be delivered, but he never got back to us.

We have moved 22 times in the past 34 years, half being with the military. This move ranked as one of the 2 worse moves! The lack of organization, newness of all the employees, unprofessional last minute contacts, mismanage of time coordination, and high employee dissatisfaction is by far a distasteful view of Quality Services. Even the V.P. of the Quality Services informed me that the information I was receiving from Quality Services employees was like me receiving information about a flight status from a child on an airplane, and it shouldn't be believed. His opinion of his own employees, based on that example, was plain to see how lowly he thinks of them.

I will say that the new employees seemed sorrowful as to the predicament we were placed in, apologized profusely for the company's inadequacies, and worked to satisfy us.

Here is a run down of how the move went with Quality Services:

1. We were informed March 10th who the movers would be.
2. Quality Services DID NOT contact us at all. A few days before the move we had to contact Quality Services to see when someone would be out to decide how many boxes would be needed.
3. The people sent to pack us up had experience of only weeks and days, instead of the usual long term employees. Many of the items were not paper wrapped, but put in boxes. Some of our open containers, with small items, were placed upside down in boxes, not wrapped in paper, so when we lifted the container, the items went everywhere (i.e. pens, pencils). I had to inform one packer to wrap the containers he was placing in a box. Other items, I.e. shoes, were thrown on top of each other, not wrapped, which caused some shoes to be squished and deformed upon removal.
4. The truck sent to be loaded was half the size it should have been. We had to complain and call multiple times to get a second truck sent out.
5. Because the truck was not the proper size and the second truck had no blankets, more blankets had to be requested and brought over. Again, more phone calls and demands.
6. The people sent to load the items were 3 youths who had worked less than 2 weeks each! The driver, 1 1/2 years. Usually on a move this size, 6 to 8 are sent to load. Again, we had to complain, and call multiple times to have additional loaders brought.
7. Because of the 3 inexperienced movers, even after 3 extras were brought out, the movers did not complete the job until after 10:30pm.
8. Due to the late night, the drivers who delivered our items, forgot to weigh the trucks and wanted to turn back to weigh at Quality Services. My husband paid the fee to have the trucks weighed near by because the driver did not have the money and we would have lost an addition 3 to 4 hours had the driver returned to Quality Services for a weighing.
9. Again, the un-loaders had less than 2 weeks experience and only 4 were sent. This caused slowness, us once again calling and complaining to request additional un-loaders, 2 more coming out in the evening, the un-loaders did not finishing until after 10pm.
10. One of the trucks had a leak and do to rain, water damaged boxes and antiques inside the truck.
11. Due to the inexperience and mishandling of heavy, antique items, damage occurred.

Good luck getting your household goods!

Hands down the worst experience I have had with a moving company. The military requires us to move every couple of years so I have eight prior moves with various companies under my belt. This company was over a week late even scheduling a delivery (we were three weeks without household goods). When they did schedule a delivery day, they never showed up and never called! My wife and I took the day off work to sit and wait. When we called the office they had no idea the delivery was even supposed to take place! By far the most incompetent moving group I have had the displeasure of working with.

Scam artists.

DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. EVER. They lie about their 'estimates'. they send unprofessional people to pack. They damage boxes and furniture and refuse to compensate. They use fake reviews to pad up their ratings. Mike Sipple, the manager of the company, claims to be a Marine veteran, but NO veteran would dishonor his rank or his service by using his status to sell and then mismanage his company. He should be ashamed, but he isn't.

Here are the specifics:

He estimated 8,000 for the entire move. This ballooned to 18,000 AFTER they had already packed everything. LIARS.

He offered us the option to pay extra for reimbursement in case of any breakage. Since they broke MULTIPLE items and refused to compensate us, wasted money.

They actually moved our stuff from one truck to another and LOST an entire bed board. Who the heck does that?

They refused to return any of our calls. All calls went to voice mail. The ONLY answer they have ever given us since our move was to rebut our reviews.

AVOID THIS COMPANY. DO NOT USE. LIARS AND SCAMMERS.

This is NOT a "quality" service moving company

If I could gave zero stars I would. I would NOT recommend this company to family, friends, or even strangers. Please review the Yelp reviews and the BBB reviews, not only the Google and Home Advisor reviews like I did, and make the horrible, horrible, mistake of hiring this company to do a local move (Woodbridge, VA to Stafford, VA) like I did.

Since, this company refuses to be professional and address my grievances privately I have decided to make my grievances public:

I was very disappointed and frustrated with the moving service I received from Quality Service Moving. I was told by sales rep. Christopher Mitcham on numerous occasions during the in-home estimate that the movers would be at my mother's apartment to move her into her new townhouse by 8:30am, June 10, 2021. However, on the day of the move the movers did not arrive until 11:30am. No one contacted me to tell that the movers were running late nor had a prior job. It took ME calling the company TWO times that day before I was given a time frame of 8am to 10am, and even then the movers still did not arrive until over an hour later.

By my THIRD call I was transferred to warehouse dispatch where a young man told me that someone "from the crew" would contact me about their ETA. I did not receive this call until well after 11am and by then I was growing increasingly frustrated due to it being such a late start time (well after the promised 8:30am). Not to mention traffic was starting to increase, and anyone who lives in Northern VA would agree that Thursday afternoon traffic can be brutal.

Again, I was very disappointed and frustrated with the service. Not only did the crew start late, but multiple items were damaged in the move due to water damage ( multiple items being left out on the curb when a storm passed through, after I TOLD the crew a storm was coming) and in the move itself.

Now let me be CLEAR, I do not hold the movers/ the crew that was sent to do the move responsible. They did the best they could given that they were sent on a prior job before my move.

INSTEAD, I hold Mr. Mitcham and Quality Services Moving responsible because:

1. He (Mr. Mitcham) assured me that the movers would start by 8:30am on June 10, 2021.

2. He never told me of the possibility that the crew assigned to my move could have a prior job scheduled; and

3. He nor anyone from the company called me let me know on the day of the move the movers ETA.

I do believe had the crew started at 8:30am like they were supposed to, they would have finished a lot sooner, thus leading me to pay closer to $1860 I was originally quoted and not $2455 (an almost $600 difference). Instead these boys did not finish until almost 9pm at night. And after speaking with Mr. Mitcham's supervisor, VP of sales Mike Sipple, I was told that because the move took so long, it appeared that the crewed moved DOUBLE the weight that was originally estimated by Mr. Mitcham, which is a LIE. If anything the crew moved LESS weight, since prior to the move we moved out over 90 boxes ourselves beforehand.

And so, instead of receiving any sincere apology or compensation, I have received basically radio silence as I wait to hear back from "quality control." It has now been almost two months since the move and my issues with the service I received are STILL unresolved with this company.

Ugh, and they have the nerve to call themselves "Quality" Services Moving...what a joke.

These gentlemen always made sure they put all the household items in the correct place which made it a lot easier for me to arrange my home. Great Job! Highly recommend.

Ginny.

This is an excellent company and I was very pleased with the professionalism of their personnel. The movers, Ward Washington and Tyler Bakker, were prompt, efficient, polite, and careful. I could not be more pleased and highly recommend this company.

Do Not Hire This Company.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Everything about them from start to finish was absolutely terrible. I paid to have them pack my kitchen and everything on my walls. They called me the morning they were supposed to come out and said they were sending 4 people and only 1 showed up. When I called them back they were surprised and said 4 were dispatched and they would see what was going on and call me back. I had to call them back several times and was left with only one person the entire day. Then, they had my move date wrong, and after trying to fix it several times I had to adjust my schedule and the schedule of those that were helping me because they didn't make things right. Then on moving day (which was the wrong day as mentioned earlier) they said they were supposed to have 5 people moving, but only showed up with 3. They started at 9:30am and didn't finish until almost midnight!! They did not put things where they were supposed to go..damaged some things..etc. I did not sign anything about what was to be charged to my account because it was too late for them to tell me the total when they left here, so I did not give them authorization to charge my account. Lastly, out of the nowhere they charged my account for an amount that was not authorized..the sales person was called and texted several times, but never responded. Poor poor customer service, management, time management, etc. I would NEVER recommend this company for anything..you would be better off hiring random people off the street and get better results.

Our movers from Charlotte, NC to Chester, MD, on the Chester end were Terrell, Luis, & Erick.
They did a fabulous job, it was a hot day & there were a couple of flights of stairs involved.
They were meticulous, courteous & extremely competent. I would recommend them to anyone needing a great team!
